In January 2018, I made one of the most pivotal decisions of my life—I left my job with just $2,000 in my bank account and a burning desire to create something bigger. At that time, I was earning $12 an hour, with no safety net or guarantees. But I knew that staying where I was would only lead to regret. So, I took a leap, armed with relentless determination and a vision that was clearer than ever. I began by immersing myself in the hustle, working 14-hour days from my small apartment, sending LinkedIn messages, making cold calls, and facing rejection after rejection.
Those early days were marked by long, sleepless nights, moments of doubt, and the nagging voice that whispered it would be easier to quit. I even found myself scrolling through job listings, contemplating giving up. But every time, I came back to the same realization: there was no way I would go back. Within 19 days, I landed my first client. In the next couple of weeks, I secured two more. Soon, I was averaging $7-10k per month. But the journey was far from over.
By the end of that first year, I hit a milestone—$10k per month. It felt incredible, but I quickly recognized that I had reached a plateau. What had gotten me to that point wasn’t going to be enough to scale further. So, I doubled down. I invested in a mentor, improved my habits, and surrounded myself with people who were achieving at higher levels. That investment paid off when I jumped to $50k months. But with that growth came new challenges. I realized I was still deeply involved in every aspect of the business, from sales and operations to client management. I was burnt out and knew something had to change.
Determined to break through the ceiling, I leaned into what had worked before—investing in myself and developing my skill set. I hired an operations manager and a closer, which allowed me to shift my focus from being an operator to becoming a leader. I learned that scaling to $100k months and beyond required not just strategy but building a strong team, cultivating a winning culture, and honing my leadership skills.
By the following year, my agency reached $161k per month and maintained a 7-figure run rate. It finally clicked. I understood that the true pathway to sustainable success was a blend of strategy, mindset, the right team, and habits that supported my goals. I had built an agency that no longer depended on me for every decision—it ran itself and afforded me the freedom I had long envisioned.
But my story doesn’t end there. Building my agency was about more than just financial success; it was about creating time, location, and financial freedom for myself. Now, my mission has evolved. This next chapter of my journey is dedicated to helping others do the same—to guide fellow entrepreneurs and agency owners in scaling their businesses, reclaiming their time, and achieving true freedom.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my Wife, traveling the world and experiencing the cultures of where I travel!
